New Zealand nearly qualified from the group stage against all odds. They failed to qualify but they exit the tournament unbeaten after recording 1-1 draws against Italy and Slovakia and a goalless draw against Paraguay in the last group game.

With less than 100 days until the World Cup two of the title contenders will test their strengths tonight at Stade de France. Darren Bent is nearing 30 league goals for the season, an amazing feat for a side that are just about avoiding the relegation flight. As for Tottenham, Defoe isn't doing too badly either, with his side chasing the final Champions league spot. If you were Capello, who's on your list? Defoe or Bent?!
