for the 47th time this season, Leo Messi found the back of the net. Toure played the ball through for the Argentinian wizard, but there was still work to be done. Messi duly did it, beating two defenders before cutting the ball back across the face of Jacobo to nestle in the corner.

There are only 90 minutes left between Barcelona and the title but they will have to earn it with a victory at home against relegation battlers Valladolid. Will they be able to claim the win or will they crack under pressure?

With just one game left, Barca lead bitter rivals Real Madrid by a point and that means a win over Valladolid will guarantee a second successive league title for the Catalans. But Valladolid are fighting for their lives and Guardiola expects a difficult test against his former national team coach Javier Clemente.

Real Madrid's destiny is out of their hands as their riveting Primera Division title battle with Barcelona comes to an end. Goalkeeper Iker Casillas insists Real "have to take care of our own business by beating Malaga'', rather than worry about events at the Nou Camp where Barca entertain Valladolid. Malaga are fighting for their lives at the foot of the table. They are one of four teams level on 36 points and with bottom club Xerez on 33 points and still capable of surviving, five teams are out to avoid the three relegation places.

five clubs attempting to avoid the drop - Racing Santander, Malaga, Real Valladolid, Tenerife and bottom club Xerez - but on paper they look to have the easiest task. Racing Santander are at home to mid-table Sporting Gijon, Malaga host Real Madrid, Valladolid go to Barcelona, Tenerife are at Valencia and Xerez, who are three points adrift of the other four teams, travel to Pamplona to face Osasuna.

Barcelona retained their Primera Division crown as they thrashed Real Valladolid 4-0 at home amid a carnival atmosphere at the Camp Nou.
