Andy Carroll scored yet again today for Newcastle United bringing his tally for the Magpies, into double figures. Reports have been suggesting that Fabio Capello is looking at the possibility of bringing Carroll to the World Cup, however, many people believe he'll look no further than Peter Crouch. Is their any chance of the Geordie playing in South Africa?

The two rivals will meet on Sunday at the Stadium of Light and Sunderland will surely be keen on avenging the 5-1 defeat that they recorded at St. James' Park earlier in the season. Newcastle won their last league game quite convincingly, 5-0 against west Ham, while Sunderland grabbed a narrow 1-0 win at Aston Villa. Sunderland are in 6th place before the game while Newcastle are 8th, five points behind their arch rivals but with a game in hand.

Second placed Arsenal will meet 10th placed Newcastle at St. James' Park on Saturday. The Gunners have won their last six competitive games while Newcastle have not won in the last four games, including a shocking 3-1 defeat at the hands of Stevenage in the FA Cup. A win is a must for Arsenal if they want to keep pace with leaders Manchester United but Newcastle will surely give their best to get out of the bad patch.
