He will surely impress, he deserved this chance.
need time playing again
He will need some time to get used to playing again...

Stephen Ireland finally completed his much desired move away from Manchester City in the deal that took James Milner from Aston Villa to the Eastlands. Ireland had a good 2008/2009 season but then found himself sidelined by new manager Roberto Mancini. The move to Aston Villa is the 24-year-old's chance to revive his career, will he manage to do that?

stephen ireland s spot if decides back
He might take Stephen Ireland's spot...If he decides to come back.

Jaime O'Hara has had a great season for Portsmouth. Although the club were relegated, the tricky mid-fielder, on loan from Spurs, will definitely be using his status as a good buy for any club in the league. However, since U-21's the player has not received an England call up and thinks his best option may be to play for the boys in Green. Do you think Trapattoni will select him or will he leave him resting across the pond?

Vote for: Was Stephen Ireland right in handing in his transfer request?

side pushing real trophies
He won't get on a side pushing for real trophies.

Stephen Ireland's patience has worn thin. The midfielder has handed in his transfer request and will be anxiously waiting on finding out who he will be playing for next season. Many of the big clubs are in for him but Man City will be putting a hefty price on his head. Possibly more than other clubs will think he's worth. Was he right in doing so or not?

He's a good player, Mancini will keep him.

Midfielder Stephen Ireland has been out of favour lately but Mancini stated that the 23 year old is still part of his plans. The fact is that Ireland has seen a lot of the reserves bench lately, do you believe that Ireland will stay with the Citizens.
