Arsenal have confirmed that they have approached Fulham and Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer. The keeper situation at the club is pretty dismal and they are looking to rectify that for the upcoming season. A cross town move for Schwarzer probably won't cost too much as the 37 year old will demand nowhere near what William Gallas is expecting. Is the netminder worth the trouble or should Wenger look elsewhere?

The latest rumors see Fulham's 38 year old goalie Mark Schwarzer being in pole position for a move to the Emirates Stadium. The veteran goalie begs Fulham to let him go: "Who wouldn't be keen to go to Arsenal? At this stage in my career it's an amazing opportunity to play at that level and one I really want to take."
