Vote for: Rooney says that the Premier League should have a winter break. What do you say?
premier league | Oct 11th, 2010 | by JohnnyKarp
Wayne Rooney insists that a winter break could be beneficial to the national team and to the players as well. "Towards the end of the season the intensity in some of the games which is normally there is missing. It's a long season with the intensity the games are played at. It is only fair on players that there is a break." Rooney believes a break is especially important in England because of the pace of the game: "It's great, especially as a forward when the game is end to end and the game opens up. But it's only in England where you see the game that quick."

The Daily Mirror claims that Manchester City are preparing to pull off the biggest transfer deal of all-time with a £100million package to land Wayne Rooney. Vote for: Wayne Rooney has revealed his reasons behind wanting to leave Manchester United: not down to money but ambition. What do you think?
premier league | Oct 21st, 2010 | by JohnnyKarp

| That's rubbish, it's all about the money! |

| He is right, Man United have to bring in some more top quality players. |
Following Alex Ferguson's statements about him Wayne Rooney explained his reasons for deciding to leave the club: "I met with David Gill last week and he did not give me any of the assurances I was seeking about the future squad. I then told him that I would not be signing a new contract. My agent and I have had a number of meetings with the club about a new contract. During those meetings in August I asked for assurances about the continued ability of the club to attract the top players in the world."
