world cup | May 24th, 2010 | by Brandon
England's players have been warned that just one slip on the Wembley pitch and their World Cup dreams "could all be over" by the latest injured player to fall victim to the surface. England captain Rio Ferdinand has called for a rethink of whether Wembley is used for events other than football as fears grow over the state of the pitch. England play Mexico at Wembley on Monday night with Ferdinand insisting the surface needs to be sorted out - backing up John Terry's claim that the pitch was "the worst we have played on all year" following Chelsea's FA Cup final victory.
