Newcastle United have done well this season to avenge for their Premier League relegation in 2009. A new manager, new players and their loyal fans behind them. Top of the table by 6 points as it stands with 13 games left to play. Can Chris Hughton lead the Magpies back to the Premier League?

Yes, Owen and injuries didn't come into Ferguson's mind when he signed him
no michael owen done far brought do
No, Michael Owen has done so far what he was brought in to do.

Manchester United may be Carling Cup champions after defeating Aston Villa at Wembley but they too are not without big problems at the club. Some people say that Owen is a World Cup striker but do you think Alex Ferguson has signed an injury prone flop?

A Coca Cola Championship player on the plane to S.A - No chance!

Andy Carroll scored yet again today for Newcastle United bringing his tally for the Magpies, into double figures. Reports have been suggesting that Fabio Capello is looking at the possibility of bringing Carroll to the World Cup, however, many people believe he'll look no further than Peter Crouch. Is their any chance of the Geordie playing in South Africa?

Necastle United are nearly there. Two wins and Chris Hughton's side are a Premier League team again. After a torrid last season, and a new campaign in the Premier League awaiting them, could they survive the drop in first of asking?

Premier League, Sunderland vs Newcastle: what will be the result?

Vote for: Premier League, Sunderland vs Newcastle: what will be the result?

premier league | Jan 14th, 2011 | by JohnnyKarp
sunderland win
Sunderland will win.
newcastle win
Newcastle will win.
draw
It will be a draw.

The two rivals will meet on Sunday at the Stadium of Light and Sunderland will surely be keen on avenging the 5-1 defeat that they recorded at St. James' Park earlier in the season. Newcastle won their last league game quite convincingly, 5-0 against west Ham, while Sunderland grabbed a narrow 1-0 win at Aston Villa. Sunderland are in 6th place before the game while Newcastle are 8th, five points behind their arch rivals but with a game in hand.

Newcastle United were officially promoted to the Premier League on Monday evening, an immediate return to the top flight for the Magpies. Chris Hughton has a job on his hands though to keep them afloat in the big boys league, have they what it takes to outwit their future relegation candidates?

It's too early to say

Milan's two games against Manchester United in the Champions League are make or break for the Italian side's season and an acid test for new manager, Leonardo. The team are still a work in progress as they seek to live up to the new identity they have carved out for themselves. Guardian
