Andy Carroll scored yet again today for Newcastle United bringing his tally for the Magpies, into double figures. Reports have been suggesting that Fabio Capello is looking at the possibility of bringing Carroll to the World Cup, however, many people believe he'll look no further than Peter Crouch. Is their any chance of the Geordie playing in South Africa?

The home ground advantage might lead them to a draw, nothing more.

Aston Villa had a real nightmare last weekend as they were demolished 6-0 by newly-promoted Newcastle. They still don't have a new manager to replace Martin O'Neill but can they win the game against Everton?

Newcastle scored another 3 goals tonight in a comprehensive win over Scunthorpe and it helps them extend their lead in the table to four points, with a game in hand over 2nd spot. They're now 12 points ahead of Nottingham Forest and look good for promotion, surely they can't mess it up now?

give hopes play england again
He should give up on those hopes, he'll never play for England again.
not needed
Why not, he could do well if needed.

36-year old defender Sol Campbell just joined Newcastle United and expressed his view on the national team: "It doesn't matter where you are at with your age, if you are fit and you are strong and you are physically there and you want it, then you have got the experience so I think there should be no problem really." Asked if he still had what it takes to play for England again, Campbell added: "I think last season for sure. I have still got it. I still have the passion, the fire in my belly. I want to win. But you just can't do anything about it anymore.

Vote for: Does Peter Lovenkrands deserve to be in the Danish World Cup squad?

p.lovenkrands | Mar 19th, 2010 | by Kevin Doocey
absolutely natural goalscorer
Absolutely, he's a natural goalscorer
no championsship player
No, he's only a Championsship player

Peter Lovenkrands has managed 11 goals in his last 12 matches in a Newcatsle United shirt, and that's nearly as good as Wayne Rooney. That said, he's playing Championship level and it's a big step down from the Premier League. However, do you believe he's worth a spot in the Danish World Cup squad?
