It was really important to know where we are now, physically and mentally after a long season. We have time to recover a lot of the spirit of the team and the qualities we have." said Capello.

HAHAHA, that made me laugh. The guy will never play again for England!

I am sure you have all seen or heard about Robert Green's howler which cost England victory in tonight's World Cup Group C game against USA. Clint Dempsey's shot from all of 25-yards looked to be heading straight into the hands of Green. However, the West Ham keeper made a mess of things and as a result, the ball rolled into the net. Will Fabio Capello start Green in England's next World Cup game against Algeria? Vote now!

France coach Raymond Domenech has all but confirmed his final 23 for the World Cup finals, cutting his initial 30-man squad down by six with the only remaining question mark over the fitness of William Gallas. Gallas has only played once for Arsenal since February, and he again broke down in the first half of the Champions League clash with Barcelona as he attempted a comeback. Marc Planus of Bordeaux is retained in case Gallas fails to make it to South Africa.
