The Madrid derby will take place on Saturday at Vicente Calderon with Atletico and Real clashing to the delight of their fans. Real Madrid have just qualified for the Champions League quarter finals after beating Lyon 3-0 while Atletico Madrid were held to a disappointing 2-2 draw at lowly Almeria in the league. Real are in 2nd place, five points behind leaders Barcelona, while Atletico are down in 8th place but still hoping to snatch an Europa League spot at the end of the season.

Barcelona's Undefeated La Liga season had come to its end, as Atletico Madrid managed to maintain a 2-1 lead for over 60 minutes, even with Barcelona dominating possession throughout the game. Thanks to Atletico's win, Real Madrid is now only two points away from Barcelona at the top of the table.
