According to News of the World, Stoke City is eyeing Dutch Liverpool striker Ryan Babel for a purchase in the upcoming transfer window. Babel has been interviewed many times in the past year saying he's interested in leaving Liverpool.

George Gillett and Tom Hicks have announced they are to sell Liverpool football club. This may be a sigh of relief for the majority of the fans. With the club valued at approximately £500 million, if someone steps up to purchase, will this make Liverpool and European powerhouse again?

Liverpool have not enjoyed the best of starts to the season, in fact it is the worst start they had in 50 years! With Roy Hodgson at the helm the Reds got only six points out of the opening seven Premier League games, not good by any standards. What do you think, should he get sacked?

After four consecutive wins Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool moved up into sixth place. The Reds are now just six points behind 4th placed Chelsea but manager Dalglish doesn't want to get carried away: "As I said before, if we keep winning games we will add up points at the end. That will tell us where we will finish. We will go into every game and try to get as much as we can. We have got our reward for this and the previous three games, so that's where we stand at this moment in time."
