Football is not a mere game of kicking the ball into the net but us far more strategic one with set pieces, zone markings etc. A coach and his team conceives these plans and also acts as mentor for his team. A good coach guides his player to victory.

Yes, he's a great coach.
no good lack world class players
No, he's good but they lack world class players.

Marcello Lippi stepped down after the disastrous World Cup campaign, the Italian FA have appointed Cesare Prandelli as the new national team coach. Speaking about the future, the new coach said: "There are no ready-made solutions, other than the desire to embark on this new adventure aware that we will experience positive things as well as problems. Lippi leaves an important legacy, let's not forget we are talking about someone who won a World Cup and you can't just forget everything he achieved: he leaves us with a special mentality, and a special attachment to the shirt. My project will embrace everyone." Will he manage to bring some silverware with the Italian team?

Definitely, he's a great striker.
really better strikers available
Not really, they have better strikers available.

Juventus' Brazilian striker never played for his home land in international games and always said that he would be willing to play for Italy. Now that he has the citizenship it's all up to Italy's boss, Marcello Lippi.
