premier league | Jan 10th, 2011 | by JohnnyKarp
New manager Kenny Dalglish will lead Liverpool in the first league game of his term next Wednesday when the Reds will meet promoted Blackpool away from home. Blackpool lost their last league game at home against Birmingham last Tuesday while Liverpool got beaten 3-1 at Blackburn which led to Roy Hodgson's departure. The interesting thing is that the two teams are very close in the league table: Liverpool are 12th on 25 points while Blackpool are 13th, also on 25 points.

Vote for: Should Liverpool bring in some new players in January?
premier league | Jan 12th, 2011 | by JohnnyKarp

| He should definitely bring in a few new players. |

| The current squad is good enough, just focus on improving their performances! |
New Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish said that he is considering reinforcing the squad in January but he stressed that he will focus on the current players: "The most important people for us are the people that are here. We are going to concentrate on them and everyone will be given an opportunity. If something comes up that is an attractive opportunity for the club then we may well take it. It's impossible to say one way or another."

Vote for: Will Liverpool get a top four finish this season?
premier league | Feb 7th, 2011 | by JohnnyKarp
After four consecutive wins Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool moved up into sixth place. The Reds are now just six points behind 4th placed Chelsea but manager Dalglish doesn't want to get carried away: "As I said before, if we keep winning games we will add up points at the end. That will tell us where we will finish. We will go into every game and try to get as much as we can. We have got our reward for this and the previous three games, so that's where we stand at this moment in time."

Vote for: Should Liverpool keep Kenny Dalglish as manager next season?
premier league | Feb 9th, 2011 | by JohnnyKarp

| He should be given a contract come June, no question about that! |

| Nah, Liverpool should get another manager next season. |
Kenny Dalglish stepped in as a temporary replacement for Roy Hodgson but after grabbing four consecutive wins and pushing Liverpool to sixth place more and more people are backing him for a permanent deal next season. The Liverpool legend tried to cool down that talk: "I'm only doing what I said I would come in and do, which is help. I'll never stand in the way of progress at this football club. I have never had a conversation with the owners beyond the conversation I had when I came in. That's where we stand at the moment and until there is more to discuss, that is where we are."

Vote for: Who should Liverpool go with... Dalglish or Hodgson?
liverpool f.c. | Jun 10th, 2010 | by Kevin Walsh

| Dalglish knows Liverpool inside out. He;s the man for the job! |

| Roy Hodgson has proved himself worthy of such a challenge. |

| What about me? |
Kenny Dalglish might be returning as the manager of Liverpool since his exit in 1991. He is removing himself from the selection panel set up last week to find a replacement for Rafa Benitez. The man that brought Fulham to the Europa Cup final Roy Hodgson appears to be favorite but Dalglish wants the chance to represent the club he loves so much. Would Liverpool be better off going with the Scotsman or stay safe with the man of the season, Hodgson?

premier league | Nov 15th, 2010 | by JohnnyKarp

| Roy Hodgson will leave before the end of this season. |

| Hodgson will remain in charge until the end of the season. |
During Liverpool's 2-0 defeat at Stoke City the fans chanted the name of Kenny Dalglish but Roy Hodgson said that he will not leave the club but he will accept a decision to remove him from the job if that day will come. "The fans can chant for whoever they want and it will be up to the club to decide what they want to do. There is nothing I can do about it and I can only continue to do the best job I can do under these circumstances."

Vote for: Will Kenny Dalglish lead Liverpool to a top four finish this season?
premier league | Jan 10th, 2011 | by JohnnyKarp

| He surely will, they will turn things around! |

| I'm afraid not, they should be happy to stay clear of relegation this season. |
Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish replaced Roy Hodgson as manager until the end of the season and made it clear right away that the fans shouldn't expect miracles overnight. Liverpool are currently 12th in the Premier League on 25 points, 11 points behind 4th placed Tottenham.
