It happened in America: Kansas City's striker Kei Kamara himself right in front of an open net but managed to miss the goal from less than six inches with no one near him. Instead of netting the sitter in the middle of the goal Kamara took a wild swing, missed it completely, fell over and knocked the ball in with his arm. Unbelievable!

It happened in... the Faroe Islands and the hero is Kaj Ennigarð who tried to con the referee into seeing an obviously non-existent slap.

The story in brief: a match between TSV Wimsheim and TSV Grunbach in the German lower leagues. The score was even, 0-0, about 15 minutes into the second half. Grunbach's defender tries to send out a powerful goal kick but the wind carries the ball into their own net! They lost the game 2-1. If you have ever seen a funnier own goal do let us know! ;)

The new Nationwide TV commercial for their sponsorship of the England football team featuring the Little Britain characters Andy and Lou (Matt Lucas and David Walliams), as well as Fabio Capello and Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Theo Walcott and David James from the England football team. Whilst Lou asks Fabio Capello for his autograph in the background Andy ends up taking part in an England football team training session and scores a goal against England goal keeper David James. Lou has no idea what has happened, just that Andy doesn't like his signed England shirt.

It all happened in Brazil, a referee showed one of the players a red card and then got annoyed by the lad's protests and slapped him. The teammates were not very happy with that...
