French soccer magazine L'Equipe revealed that ex-Man United defender Laurent Blanc has been offered the national team job if he wants it. The Bordeaux manager, who has impressed the football community since his appointment over "les Girondins", is said to be announcing his decision at the end of the season. Is he the man for the job?

Ex Man Utd defender and Bordeaux manager Laurent Blanc has stepped down from his current position in order to take charge of the France national side. The only thing is, he will not be taking his reign until after the World Cup Finals. Do you think his decision is a little premature or was it better to leave now?

Bordeaux have announced that former player Jean Tigana will be the club's new manager, taking up the position made vacant by Laurent Blanc's departure to coach the French national team. Tigana, 54, has been out of management since leaving Turkish side Besiktas in 2007 and will likely be welcomed with open arms at Bordeaux - the club where he spent eight years of a hugely successful playing career.

Bordeaux earned a solid 1-0 win away in Greece but the second leg could prove to be more difficult than expected. The Greeks are determined to give their best on the pitch and fight until the last second of the game. Will we witness an upset?
