There have been talks regarding the possibility of the Premier League adopting the play-off system. This system will allow the fourth to seventh placed teams to compete for the last remaining spot.

It seems as it Portsmouth have been relegated from the Premier League but there are 2 spots to fill yet. Last year, we saw both North-East clubs be relegated from the Premier League, Newcastle United & Middlesbrough. However, will we see any last day dramatics this season?

Sir Alex Ferguson may add just one more player to his Manchester United squad this summer as he plots to regain the Premier League title from Chelsea. United chief executive David Gill has indicated funds are available to his manager to spend this summer, but Ferguson revealed he is happy with the balance of his squad, which finished a point behind Chelsea in the title race.
