Who Will Win the 2010 World Cup?

The final game to decide the winner of the 2010 World Cup will take place on July 11, 2010. The two teams that will compete against each other are the Netherlands and Spain. The Netherlands advanced in the semi finals to defeat Uruguay 3-2 and Spain defeated Germany to win 1-0. Spain’s win was quite surprising for many because the German team had been so dominating and in many matches scored at least four goals.







The coach of the Netherlands team is Bert van Marwijk; he has really motivated the team to succeed with his cool head and brilliant strategies. Arjen Robben is number ten for the team, he plays the position of winger and he has extremely good ball handling skills. He has scored a few goals during the World Cup and has played incredible defense against his opponents. He was injured and his first match during the 2010 World Cup was on June 28, 2010 against Slovakia. During this game, he scored the first goal of the match. Other members of the team include: Boschker, Stekelenburg, Vorm, Boulahrouz, Braafheid, Heitinga, Mathijsen, Ooijer, Van Bronckhorst, Van Der Wiel, Afellay, De Jong, De Zeeuw, Schaars,Sneijder, Van Bommel, Van der Vaart, Babel, Elia, Jan Huntelaar,Kuyt, and Van Persie. The team is undefeated during this World Cup and have shown that they are a very cohesive and aggressive soccer team.







The members of the Spain soccer team include: Casillas, Reina, Valdes,Albiol, Arbeloa, Capdevila, Marchena, Piqué, Puyol, Ramos,Alonso, Busquets, Fábregas, Xavi, Iniesta, Silva, Martínez, Mata, Navas, Pedro, Llorente, Torres, and Villa. The team is being coached by Vicente del Bosque. Spain has proven a worthy adversary throughout the tournament. They have overcome early losses to Switzerland and Paraguay but fought their way through the round of sixteen, quarter finals and semi-finals. They have a good chance to win again the Netherlands team if they keep the game fast paced and attempt as many shots at the goal as possible. The final game is sure to be one for the books since neither country has ever brought home a World Cup trophy to their countries.
