There are several amazing World Cup teams; however Brazil's 1970 team takes the top position as the greatest. Experts from around the world were polled and came to this unanimous conclusion that Brazil indeed is the best. Brazil's 1970 team was composed of Captain Carlos Alberto, and other all star players including Jairzinho, Gerson, Tostao, Rivelino, Clodoaldo, and Pele who was in his final World Cup season.

Brazil's 1970 team won all 12 games in a row for the World Cup win. This was a record total of 6 qualifying games, as well as all 6 final games. They competed against the Italy, Czechs, England, Peru, Romania, and Uruguay.

England 1966 came in as a close second for the best team of all time. They hosted the World Cup in the year 1966, and then took the win. Sir Bobby Charlton was a top player in 1966 for this team. Another World Cup all star team included Italy in 1982, who won the world cup that Argentina hosted that year. They went against West Germany for the final game, and defeated them 3 - 1.

West Germany, although defeated by Italy in 1982, was another exceptional team. Led by Beckenbauer, West Germany averaged at least one goal per every game played. West Germany was back on the top 10 list in 1990 with Matthaus as their all star player. Other players on the team were Klinnsman, Kohler, and Voller.

Other strong teams included France in 1998, Hungary in 1954, and Argentina in 1986. Brazil was back on the top 10 list in the year 1994, as their first World Cup win in 24 years. Romario was the most valuable player for Brazil in 1994. This made three of Brazil's teams on the top ten list; 1958, 1970, and 1994.

Although there were many teams worthy of being considered the best, it is without a doubt that number one on the top ten list for best World Cup teams of all time, Brazil 1970 still takes the title of the greatest.
