The Ghanaian players who haven't made the World Cup squad but have put in weeks of hard work coming up to the trip to South Africa, will receive a $5,000 in thanks for their services. Some players denied the offer but others that aren't as well off as teammates based in Europe gladly accepted. Should all axed players be compensated or should this type of monetary payoff be deemed unethical?
