Juventus defender Fabio Grosso and Udinese midfielder Antonio Candreva have been cut from the Italy squad for the World Cup as coach Marcello Lippi reduced his 30-man provisional group to 28. Grosso was a pivotal player for Italy four years ago, scoring the decisive first goal against Germany in the semi-final and then the winning spot-kick in the penalty shootout against France in the final.

gattuso has been a great player for the azzuri in the past......but like lippi said we cant build a team based on the past ......he should get rid of gattuso , zabro also...they had terrible yrs with milan......might as well bring back oddo for gods sake
