Juventus' 35 year old striker declared that he still hopes to make it to the World Cup. He lifted the trophy four years ago but then he has been out of the Italy squad since Euro 2008. Will he be given the chance to shine in South Africa?

he is one of the best strikers and a great free kick shooter. he should be in the team... Del Piero is a legend.

Even at 35 years of age Del Piero is better than any other Italian striker at the moment.
